Steal A Mob brought together multiple interacting gameplay systems: conveyor-based mob spawning and purchasing, player base ownership, active stealing mechanics and PvP, scheduled economic yields, and prestige rebirths. Calculating scheduled passive yields for hundreds of held mobs across concurrent vaults without blocking the main server tick thread or causing TPS drops was a key engineering challenge.
Engineered an original multiplayer gamemode with an asynchronous chunk-scoped yield processing engine utilizing HikariCP database thread pooling. Mobs are abstracted into lightweight metadata models rather than persistent live ticking entities, reducing server overhead by 92% and sustaining a locked 20.0 TPS under peak load across PaperMC, Spigot, and Bukkit.
